Training and Workshops

Please consider a donation to our free training fund. This provides free seats for those seeking training but are unable to afford it at this time. It also pays for supplies to those training such as resuscitation equipment for student midwives and those planning unassisted birth.

All trainings and workshops are fully inclusive and use language that affirms all experiences.

All trainings include material on the maternal and fetal equity gap and how birthworkers can make change. National, State and local statistics will be discussed and compared to global counterparts in a way that makes them easy to understand.

There are scholarships available for both BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community members. You will need to email and set up a call.

Payment plans are also available with half due at sign up and then two equally spaced payments. Please use the contact form if you have additional questions. Invoices for payment plans must be set up.

Pregnancy

CAPPA trainings are designed to educate and equip the contemporary perinatal professional for a successful career in a fun, supportive, and collaborative environment. Trainings are evidence based and comprehensive, and are designed to appeal to all learning styles. There is additional material focusing on birth equity and how doulas can help serve populations most at risk.

Midwife assistant training is a two day course covering the skills needed to move from being a labor doula into the role of midwife assistant. Applications for this training are kept on file for 3 training cycles before needing to reapply. Applications and a zoom or in person conversation must happen before enrolling. Those selected will recieve a link to enroll and pay. Class are small to ensure every student is supported and ready to use skills during a birth.

HBB is designed for low resources areas and when are serving clients in their homes we do not have access to the same equipment the hospitals do. NRP is a valuable tool and having both HBB and NRP is ideal. All of the time you spend learning HBB both through lecture and hands on practice will be with equipment that Traditional Midwives carry. All students of the Doula to Midwife assistant training class receive a significant discount as well as a starter bag as a gift. Please wait for the discount code to be emailed before paying for the class.

A limited number of scholarships are  available for BIPOC and LGBTQ people at all trainings. Please use the contact form to express interest the cost after scholarships are in parentheses
